A more than 100-year-old statue of the nation’s first president, George Washington, was covered in graffiti in Chicago.
Messages were written out in red spray paint that read “slave owner” and “burn down the White House.”
A white KKK hood was also found on the head of the sculpture.
The massive monument has been on the south side of Chicago on MLK Drive since 1904.
Organizers say the statue should be taken down.
