Illinois universities are joining in the fight against the federal rule about deporting students if they don’t have any in-person classes.
The Chicago Tribune reports Illinois State University, DePaul University, Northwestern, the University of Chicago, the University of Illinois have joined colleges across the country in challenging the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s rule saying international students must take at least one in-person course this fall to stay in the country.
