Cities 92.9, Magic 99.5, 107.7 & 92.1 The Bull, Miller Lite, Jarhead Construction, and The Good Guys at Barker Chevrolet are pleased ton announce the 3rd annual Seats Soldiers event to support local veterans was an overwhelming success!. With your help, we “saved seats” for Soldiers at the Corn Crib ballpark to raise money for Hope for the Warriors®, a foundation that helps Central Illinois veterans from all branches of the military, from the enlisted to the deployed.
This year, over $18,000 was raised and more donations are still coming in!
From July 23rd at 6:00am, Andy Roberts, Big Mike and Steve Suess took their seats and broadcast from the Corn Crib in Normal for 36 straight hours to help those who have served our country. Over the course of these 36 hours, members of the community were encouraged to “save seats” and/or make a donation to benefit Hope for the Warriors®. “Saved seats” will be marked with an American Flag, sponsored by Guardians of the Children, designating that seat saved for a member of our military. You can also catch a CornBelters double header both nights during the event! Jimmy John’s sponsored out donation text line SEATS to 77000.
Stay tuned as we announce the winner of a cruise for two to someone from our community from Anywhere Anytime Journeys, ffrom those who entered during the event where no purchase was necessary.
We also congratulate the FIRST 100 people who donated and received a free car wash from Parkway Auto Laundry and those first 5 veterans to donate $50+ with a military ID that received a free full car detail from Parkway Auto Laundry!
