For A Better Tomorrow (FBT) is holding the 2021 Why I See You (YICU) Service Awards event virtually this year on Sunday, September 19 at 2:00pm. The YICU Service Awards Celebration is held to recognize youth leadership and service in the community with the hope that it will also inspire other youth to pursue service and leadership activities and opportunities.
FBT collaborates with other community partners to give special recognition to young adults who have made their mark on our community. Nominations were requested from local organizations, schools, and individuals in McLean County. Students from junior high age to college age are eligible for these awards, and several excellent applications have been received.
Twenty-six McLean County youth ages 12-22 who are engaged in community service and leadership have been nominated for the YICU Service Award. Additionally, teams, advocates and mentors involved with youth in service will also be recognized. FBT will make a $250 donation towards a qualifying non-profit organization in honor of each award winner.
All nominees are featured on FBT’s website, Face Book and Instagram. Sign up to attend the virtual 2021 YICU awards event at https://forbettertomorrow.org/2021-yicu-awards/
