After the Cancelation of RENT: 25 th Anniversary Farewell Tour in November, the City learned today the production will not be rescheduled.
Technical difficulties kept the performance dark on November 21, 2021, and Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (BCPA) staff has been working behind the scenes in hopes of bringing the show back to town. However, they’ve been unable to find a make-up date that works with both the tour and the BCPA.
“We worked with the tour to try and find a new date to bring RENT back to Bloomington, but with this being the “Farewell Tour” there was no feasible make-up date,” says JongHun Kim, Artistic Manager for the BCPA, “We are heartbroken to have had to cancel this iconic show. We know how much this show means to so many people, and
we hope that ticket-buyers can understand we had no other option.”
Now that the show has been officially cancelled the refund process has started and all refunds will be issued through Ticketmaster. Ticketholders should note refunds can take up to 30 days to be processed by Ticketmaster. If you have not received their refund after 30 days, they are asked to contact the BCPA Ticket Office at (309) 434-2777.
