Due to forecasted snowfall, Unit 5 Schools will not have in-person learning on Wednesday, Feb. 2 or Thursday, Feb. 3.
Wednesday, Feb. 2 will be an E-Learning Day
Students should NOT report to school in person but WILL have classes online. An E-Learning day means that rather than closing school because of inclement weather, all students will learn remotely.
– Early Learning families should log onto your classroom Google Meets link from your child’s teacher/therapist for the lessons and check your: MyTeachingStrategies Family ( here) for Distance Learning plans and Ready Rosie Family Learning Videos. Family members can log in to ReadyRosie from ReadyRosie.com or the ReadyRosie mobile app.
– Elementary students should log in to their computer at 8:45 am. (Devices are going home today.)
– Junior high and high school students follow this schedule. Students who are unsure of their schedule should check with their zero or first-hour teacher.
Thursday, Feb. 3 will be a traditional snow day
Students should NOT report to school in person and WILL NOT have classes online.
There will be no extra curricular activities or practices on Wednesday or Thursday, and all Unit 5 buildings will be closed. This has been a challenging year for students, parents, and staff members. Since Unit 5 will be out for two days, this schedule allows students to stay on track with learning on Wednesday, while still offering them the joy of a traditional snow day on Thursday. We will monitor weather the rest of the week and keep you posted as to plans for Friday.
