McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder is releasing the following information regarding the incident that occurred on Route 24, near 2480 East Road, near Chenoa, Illinois:
“On Monday, March 14, 2022, McLean County Coroner’s Office received notification of an accident involving an automobile and semi- truck. The driver and sole occupant of the automobile was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Pronounced deceased at 0851 hours, March 14, 2022, was Elsie L. Sizer, age 44, of Chenoa, Illinois.
Preliminary autopsy opinion indicates that Ms. Sizer cause of death was multiple blunt injuries due to an automobile and semi-truck collision, reportedly sustained as the driver of the car that crossed into the path of the oncoming truck. Toxicology testing is pending.
This incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and the Illinois State Police.”
