The former fire chief of Allin Township, 31-year-old Josh Deterding, will serve 120 days in jail and 30 months of probation for stealing more than $19,000 from the fire district, according to a ruling by a McLean County judge who cited the lengthy and deliberate theft of public money. The Atlanta man pleaded guilty in April to theft of more than $10,000 from the fire district.
