McLean County Coroner Dr. Kathy Yoder is releasing the following information regarding the
vehicle fatality on I-74 westbound at Milepost 154, near Leroy, Illinois on November 18, 2022:
Pronounced deceased at 1645 hours, November 18, 2022, was Melissa Ann Johnson, 20, of Weyauwega, Wisconsin.
Preliminary autopsy opinion indicates that Ms. Johnson died of multiple blunt injuries, reportedly sustained as the driver of an SUV. Toxicology testing is pending.
This incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and the Illinois State Police.
