Suspected rock thrower arrested
One person is in custody for vandalizing Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s home in Chicago Monday.
The Governor’s Executive Protection Unit responded after someone threw rocks at the home, breaking three windows. Police searched the area and arrested the suspect. The governor and his wife were home at the time of the incident, but no one was hurt.
Man arrested after bunker standoff
A Herrin man is facing charges after a four-hour standoff with police in which he tried to hide in an underground bunker.
On Monday, police responded to a panic alarm and found a female victim of domestic battery. Police said the suspect, Brian Herring, fled to a concrete and steel enforced underground bunker in the front yard. The Williamson County Hostage Negotiation Team was called in and after four hours, Herring was taken into custody.
Police said they found multiple gas masks, food rations and other survival provisions in the bunker.
Rivian target price lowered
A brokerage firm is revising downward its one-year estimate for Rivian Automotive’s stock price after the company last week announced plans to raise $1.5 billion in a debt offering.
Wedbush Securities has lowered its one year target price for Rivian to $25 per share, down from $30, despite assurances the company has overcome supply chain issues to ramp up production of electric vehicles at its Normal plant.
