At a news conference Tuesday morning in the council chambers at Uptown Station, town officials announced Pam Reece has been hired as city manager. She was chosen from among 49 applicants. Pam Reece was retiring Normal City Manager Mark Peterson’s second-in-command. The town spent $20,000 with a professional recruiter before making the decision.
