Dr. Kathy Yoder, McLean County Coroner, has released the following details regarding a fatal single vehicle accident on July 1, 2024, at 8:44 pm, on Illinois Route 150 just west of McLean County 2325 East Road, Downs, Illinois (Downs Township).
Stanely M. Miller, aged 62, from Crystal Lake, Illinois, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Preliminary findings from the autopsy suggest that Mr. Miller succumbed to multiple blunt injuries resulting from a car collision. He was reportedly driving alone when his vehicle lost control, veered off the road, and crashed. Mr. Miller was wearing a seatbelt at the time. Toxicology tests are currently pending.
The McLean County Coroner’s Office and the Illinois State Police are continuing their investigation into this incident.
