The pros and cons of the first of three solar farms that could go up in McLean County were discussed at the Zoning Board of Appeals Tuesday. Representatives of Cypress Creek Renewables, a solar power company based in California, told the ZBA its farms planned near Arrowsmith and Downs will bring economic development and renewable energy production to the area without many of the complications of other energy sources, including wind farms.
