Authorities have identified four people found dead in a home on North Lee Street in what police say was a murder-suicide.
Christopher H. Simmons, 33, fatally shot his girlfriend, Chelsea L. Lusher, 31; her son, Armoni L. Bennett, 13; and her friend, Trina J. Hollings, 31, before turning the gun on himself, according to a news release from Bloomington police and the McLean County Coroner’s Office late Monday.
The victims were pronounced dead at 12:27 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, after another resident discovered the scene and called police. Authorities have not disclosed who lived at the home.
Autopsy results indicate Simmons died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, while the others suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Toxicology results are pending.
Before the victims were publicly identified, Bloomington District 87 had confirmed the death of an eighth grader, now identified as Bennett.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
