Bloomington-Normal YMCA is hoping to move from south of downtown Bloomington to a new building on the OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center campus in a partnership that would include Easterseals Central Illinois. The Pantagraph reports The “Y” would remain open until a new building opens on the campus of the medical center, but first, YMCA must raise $13 million for the proposed building. The agency hopes to raise the money by spring 2019, break ground in fall 2019 and open at the new location in spring 2021.
