A 39-year-old Bloomington man is in custody after an early Sunday stabbing that left one woman with potentially life-threatening injuries.
Police were called shortly before 1 a.m. to the 1500 block of North Hershey Road, where they found an adult woman with multiple stab wounds. She was taken to a local hospital by Bloomington Fire Department paramedics. An adult male and a juvenile female were also injured inside a nearby residence but suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers located the suspect, Christopher L. Thornton, around 4 a.m. near McGraw and Eldorado. He fled on foot but was caught after a brief chase. Thornton faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, home invasion, aggravated domestic battery, and violating an order of protection.
