A 57-year-old bicyclist from Normal, Illinois, died Monday afternoon following a crash at Comlara Park in Hudson.
McLean County Coroner Dr. Kathleen Yoder identified the victim as Shawn J. Anderson. Emergency responders were called to the scene around 4:25 p.m. on August 11, 2025. Anderson was pronounced dead at 4:59 p.m.
A preliminary autopsy indicates Anderson died from cervical spinal injuries sustained in the crash. Toxicology results are pending. The McLean County Coroner’s Office and the McLean County Sheriff’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident.
