A 57-year-old man has died following a shooting Tuesday afternoon outside Casey’s on Fox Creek Road, according to Bloomington Police.
Officers were called to the store at 2017 Fox Creek Road around 4:20 p.m. on October 21 for reports of a shooting. They found an adult male, later identified as Van Wilson of Bloomington, suffering from a gunshot wound. Bystanders were providing aid before paramedics transported Wilson to a local hospital, and he was later transferred to Carle Hospital in Urbana, where he was pronounced dead at 8:58 p.m.

Bussell has been charged with murder with intent to kill or injure and aggravated battery/discharge of a firearm. He remains in custody at the McLean County Detention Facility.
