The City of Bloomington will activate parking restrictions tonight as a winter storm moves into Central Illinois. A parking ban on designated snow routes begins at 11 p.m. Friday, followed by a citywide ban at 6 a.m. Saturday, requiring all vehicles to be removed from streets.
Residents who lack off-street parking may use city park lots and municipal parking garages free of charge while the ban is in effect. The city has staged plows and prepared equipment, urging residents to stay home when possible to help crews clear streets safely and efficiently.
