Illinois State University will shut down all campus operations Saturday, Nov. 29, due to a winter storm, forcing the postponement of the remaining IHSA state football championship games.
The storm is expected to last most of the day, and ISU is urging people to avoid unnecessary travel. All campus buildings — including residence halls, the Bone Student Center and dining facilities — will remain closed until Sunday afternoon while crews work to clear walkways and parking areas.
The IHSA 5A, 6A, 7A and 8A title games will be rescheduled, with new dates to be set in coordination with IHSA officials. This is the first time this has happened in the IHSA 51-year history.
ISU expects normal operations to resume Monday, Dec. 1.
