Former U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock (R-Peoria) is expressing confidence “justice will ultimately prevail” against the “out of control prosecution” currently trying him on federal corruption charges. Schock made an appearance in the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago Wednesday as his lawyers move to have all charges dismissed in his ongoing case. The former congressman resigned in 2015 after a story on his lavishly decorated Washington D.C. office appeared in the Washington Post. He was formally indicted on misusing government and campaign funds in 2016.
