If you want to work for the state of Illinois you may soon need to move to Springfield. The Illinois House yesterday approved a plan that would declare the state’s capital city the default home for most state jobs. Springfield’s state Rep Sara Wojcicki-Jimenez said the proposal only applies to new jobs going forward, so no one currently on the state’s payroll would have to move if the plan becomes law.
