The Connect Transit Board of Trustees held a Special Meeting this morning to approve a separation agreement with former Managing Director, David Braun. Mr. Braun has served the transit system as its Chief Executive Officer since August of 2021. Under his leadership and direction, Connect Transit provided excellent service to the community and made many significant system improvements.
Mr. Braun recently decided to resign from his position to pursue other professional opportunities. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we thank David for his four years of dedicated service to the residents of Bloomington and Normal and wish him the very best in all of his future personal and professional pursuits.
The Connect Transit Board will soon launch a national search to fill the Managing Director position; details regarding that search process are still being developed and will likely be announced in January. In the meantime, Deputy Managing Director Brady Lange will oversee the transit system’s day-to-day operations.
