Police in Normal responded to a shots-fired call around 12:56 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of South Main Street and found a 16-year-old girl with an apparent gunshot wound. She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and is reported in stable condition.
Officers from the Normal Police Department secured the scene with assistance from the Bloomington Police Department, Illinois State Police, McLean County Sheriff’s Police and Illinois State University Police Department. Investigators located evidence confirming a shooting and collected items for analysis.
