Bloomington Mayor Dan Brady will travel to Rome March 28–April 2 as part of the Illinois Mayors Public Diplomacy Mission.
The trip brings together mayors statewide, including Normal Mayor Chris Koos, for cultural exchange, international meetings, and events at the Vatican. The delegation is also scheduled to meet U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See Brian Burch.
Brady called the trip an honor and said he hopes to bring back insights to benefit Bloomington. The group will also attend a private audience with Pope Leo XIV.
