The Normal Police Department conducted a St. Patrick’s Day traffic enforcement campaign from March 13 through early March 23, logging 64 hours of اضافitional patrols.
Officers made 66 traffic stops and issued 63 citations, including 33 for speeding, 22 for seat belt violations, and five for distracted driving. No impaired driving arrests were reported.
The effort was part of the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign and was funded through federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
