McLean County residents can take advantage of a self-service electronics recycling drop-off event Saturday, April 4, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Town of Normal Public Works facility.
The site, located at 1301 Warriner St., also offers regular drop-off hours Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., along with additional availability on the first Saturday of each month. Accepted items include computers, televisions, cell phones, and other electronics, even if they are not in working condition.
Officials say items containing Freon, such as mini refrigerators and dehumidifiers, will not be accepted. The service is limited to McLean County residents, and participants are asked not to leave items outside of designated hours.
