McLean County residents can take advantage of self-service electronics recycling on Saturday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Town of Normal Public Works facility, 1301 Warriner St. The service will continue on the first Saturday of each month.
Beginning May 4, the drop-off center will shift to summer hours, operating weekdays from 6 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. through September 4. Regular hours of 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. resume September 8.
Accepted items include computers, TVs, phones, and other electronics, regardless of working condition. Items containing Freon, such as mini refrigerators and dehumidifiers, are not accepted. The program is limited to McLean County residents, and materials should only be dropped off during posted hours.
