McLean County officials are asking residents to help shape the future of the region through the development of the McLean County Regional Comprehensive Plan 2045.
The plan, being developed by the McLean County Regional Planning Commission (MCRPC), will serve as a long-term guide for growth, development and community priorities over the next 20 years. Officials say public participation will be critical to ensuring the plan reflects the needs and vision of communities throughout McLean County. The planning process is expected to continue through the summer of 2027 and will include surveys, public workshops, informational materials and public meetings.
MCRPC has scheduled five public workshops this summer. Meetings will be held June 25 in Lexington, June 30 in Le Roy, July 10 virtually, July 15 at the McLean County Farm Bureau and July 20 at the Bloomington Public Library. Residents are also encouraged to complete the online Visioning Survey by July 31. More information about the project and survey is available through the McLean County Regional Comprehensive Plan 2045 website.
