Bloomington Chief Brendan Heffner announced he’s retiring on Friday, May 11. Chief Heffner began serving the police department during October of 2013. Back in April, He was confirmed to become U.S. Marshal for the Central Illinois District. There will be a reception for Chief Heffner at the Bloomington Police Department on May 11, from 2-4 p.m.
