The City of Bloomington has rescheduled its “Light Up the Ring” celebration for Wednesday, July 22, at 8:30 p.m., marking a major milestone in the Downtown Streetscape Project.
The ceremony at the new Ring Structure outdoor amphitheater in the 600 block of North Main Street will officially open the new event space. After brief remarks from local officials, the Ring Structure will be illuminated for the first time, celebrating the reopening of the downtown entertainment district in the 500 and 600 blocks of North Main Street.
The city also plans a larger community celebration this fall featuring live music, vendors, children’s activities, food, and other family-friendly attractions as work on the Downtown Streetscape Project continues.
