A portion of North Street in Uptown Normal will close Saturday, Aug. 15, for the Normal Theater’s Wet Hot American Summer Fest.
The section between Fell Street and the theater entrance will be posted No Parking after 1 p.m. and closed to traffic at 3 p.m. The outdoor festival runs from 5 to 7 p.m., with the street expected to reopen by 8 p.m., or when it is safe to do so.
The camp-themed event includes games, a costume contest, karaoke, food and beverages, followed by a screening of Wet Hot American Summer. Tickets are $10 and include the festival activities and movie.
