Gov. Bruce Rauner vetoed Tobacco 21 on Friday. The proposed legislation that would have raised the legal age to purchase tobacco to 21, instead of 18.To date, five states – California, Hawaii, Maine, New Jersey and Oregon – have raised the tobacco purchase age to 21.
