During early morning hours on Friday, November 2, 2018, Bloomington Police Department’s Vice Unit concluded a three-month investigation focused on powder cocaine and crack cocaine distribution in Bloomington, IL.
With the assistance of members of the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Marshals Task Force, Illinois State Police Tactical Response Team and Bloomington Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team, federal search warrants were executed at three apartments located in Bloomington, Illinois: 2102 E. Empire St., 2010 E. Empire and 705 Fairmont Drive.
Seized during the execution of the search warrants were approx. 185 grams of powder cocaine, approx. 115 grams of crack cocaine, approx. $6,900 in United States currency, three handguns, one shotgun and one bullet proof vest.
Arrested today as a result of this investigation were four Bloomington men:
Khalil R. Hood, age 23, of 705 Fairmont Drive
Lorenzo L. Aken, age 38, of 601 S. Lee
Larry J. Lanier, age 52, of 2010 E. Empire
Raymone Stephens, age 30, of 1108 Ekstam Drive
Federal charges are also pending on several of the defendants in this case. The investigation continues and further arrests are expected. No further information will be released at this time. Additional information related to the details of this case will be available next week. All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
