A former Republican state senator is stepping-up as the next leader of Illinois’ Medical Cannabis Alliance. Pam Althoff got the job this week, she’s a recent lawmaker from McHenry County. Althoff says the medical marijuana industry in Illinois has the experience and history to help guide the state forward as lawmakers look to legalize recreational marijuana. She says the alliance hopes to be part of the conversation going forward.
