Former west-central Illinois Congressman Aaron Schock says he’s happy that federal prosecutors dropped corruption charges against him, but he says the case did its damage. Schock told reporters in Chicago yesterday that he feels ‘wronged’ by prosecutors who he says ‘targeted’ him as their ‘ticket to stardom.’ Schock was charged with lying on Congressional and campaign expense reports. Prosecutors will drop the charges if he repays the IRS and his campaign for what he spent.
